Oak Park Elders
Jorge Aguilar
Jorge describes himself as a "work in progress" as he follows our Lord Christ. He is a family man married to his best friend Sandy with three great kids in and out of the area. After graduating from Cal Poly in the late 1980’s he became a consulting Civil Engineer and moved around the state. He’s volunteered in Singles, Young Adult and Children's ministry in various churches over the years. Eventually making it back to SLO County, he and Sandy made OPCC their church home and are grateful for the chance to serve.
Carl Bockhahn
Carl Bockhahn, along with his wife, Karen and their family are one of Oak Park's founding families, dating back to 1986. He has served this church family in many ways through the years as a teacher, deacon, and elder. He is a retired engineer and Karen is a retired kindergarten teacher. Today, Carl continues to serve Oak Park, as its "newest" elder and as the teacher for our adult Sunday morning Bible class. His wife, Karen has served throughout the years in the children's ministry and is currently serving as the curriculum director. Their son, Joel serves as a youth worker and their daughter, Kristi teaches the upper elementary kids and serves in the youth ministry.
Tony Martinelli
I became a follower of Jesus Christ when I was a child, in the pews of a Catholic Church. Through my teens and early adulthood, I became a silent follower, usually from a distance, and at times lost. However, even in those times of doubt and self-doubt, God remained steadfast. On May 15, 1992, God filled a void and sent Suzan into my life. On May 15, 1993, my prayers were answered, and we were married. Then in 2002 God answered our prayers again and blessed us with our son Matt. The only thing that was missing and which we sought, was a place of worship and fellowship. In early 2017 we attended service at Oak Park Christian Church for the first time and knew right away that God was at work again. On June 10, 2017, Suzan, Matt, and I were baptized, and were born again, together. I am thankful for the path the Lord has set me upon, and I look forward to being of service to my OPCC Church Family.
